The Athens of Finland

It's time for a blogpost from Jyväskylä again!

This year has been a great one for NESU-Jyväskylä and a lot has been going on since our latest blogpost. Lets start with the events we have organized this year!

In July we had the honor to organize the famous NESU Finland's Kesämöksä in Jyväskylä. Dozens of nesuits gathered in Central-Finland for the Country Meeting of NESU Finland and also for the amazing sits-party which they were promised. Kesämöksä went even better than we had expected. Weather was nice, hot tub was warm and even the Neste Oil Rally didn't bother us too much. (For those who weren't there, the Rally started at Sunday morning from our cabins front yard.)

Autumn came and it was time to welcome our freshmen to Jyväskylä. This year NESU-Jyväskylä's board was really active in the freshman-events and we did manage to spread the message of NESU to our newbies. Something about that tells the fact that the registeration for our Anarkia-sits-party, for students from Jyväskylä, was opened at 3:27am and still it took only 29 seconds for the base to fill up. The Anarkia-sits was the only sits-party held by NESU-Jyväskylä this autumn, and it was a blast! It's great to notice that people are still willing to make their way to Jyväskylä from all the corners of Finland for an amazing night with other nesuits.

More than a week ago we held our autumn meeting and the board of 2018 was elected. NESU-Jyväskyläs board had more applications than ever before in the recorder history! Almost 20 motivated nesuits applied to the board and only six were elected. It was rewarding to see that our job for the new students hadn't gone to waste and there are still new NESU-actives born in Jyväskylä.

And yeah, about our board or 2018...

Board of 2018 contains six motivated and talented persons and we are really looking for the next year to see what this group could do to top this years events such as Kokkisota or Anarkia-sits.

NESU-JKL 2017 out!
