Greetings from NESU-KY!
Our autumn has been full of events and more is coming! We started our autumn semester in September when new mursu’s arrived to school. NESU-KY participated to Orientation week and it was a great chance for us to meet new students.
NESU-KY ‘17 has 9 members of the board and 54 active members. Together we form a tight and amazing group. With this group, we organize all the traditional and some new events in 2017.
Our year began in January with our first event, Aktiivien harkkasitsit or Rehersal Sitzparty for Active Year. The sitzparty is a NESU-KY tradition, in which older NESU-KY members teach the new nesuits to sitz. The evening was a lot of fun and brought our year together as a group. One of the highlights of the sitzparty was an older member teaching us how to dance Anima Libera.
NESU Dagen is an annual event where the new NESU Finland members get the possibility to meet each other and workshop a little bit about future guidelines. This year NESU Dagen took place in January in Lappeenranta and was hosted by NESU-Enklaavi.
Friday the 15th of January. It wasn’t a snowy day but everyone knew that there was something in the air. You don’t have to be a genius to guess that there was something happening at Alakertsi once again.
NESU-KY ’15 hosted their last sitsiparty on the 3rd of December. The theme for the party was Monte Carlo and it really could be seen in the costumes of the guests. Also the decorations created a luxurious feeling. Examples of the decorations were the slot machines and the sparkly golden wall. The dancefloor was decorated eventfully with Formula 1-themed walls.
