Greetings from Pori!
Our year in Pori has started off excellently and our new board have had a chance to get to know each other. Our main focus is to organize sitz-parties of course, but we also have a vision for this year. We aim to increase the activity of Porky’s (Porin kylterit) students to go visit other cities’ sitz parties, as well as encouraging Nesu students from other cities to attend our sitz parties.
So far, we have had a successful start to the year. All of our board members attended the NESU-Dagen 2023 in Jyväskylä, where we got to hang out for the first time. Our first sitz-party was Casino themed. There we had 42 Nesu students from other cities, which was amazing and we were excited that so many people were interested to visit Pori. In February, Nesu-Porky took a bus to Tampere to attend Nesu-Boomi’s Torimöyhö sitz party. We also hosted a sitz party (Vuosijuhlasitsit) before Porky’s annual celebration.
As for the rest of the year, we have exciting plans.We are organizing big events for Vappu and are looking forward to the autumn where we will host another sitz party with the hope of attracting a lot of participants.
