On the 31st of October we headed towards Turku with our group of nine walruses and one already experienced sitsipartyer. The train ride flew by as we brainstormed for our proggis and put the final touches on our gift to the toasts. After our arrival in Turku we had an hour or so to spare and so we decided to enjoy what might well be the last “pussikalja” of the year in the local park near TuKY’s sitsivenue, Parkki.
The theme of the sitsiparty was Sports Academy, and so as we entered Parkki we could see lots of active-looking sportsmen and-women around us. Our marvellous toasts had also really put an effort into their show, which portrayed an ice-hockey team and their coach. We were the first to be called to the table to perform our proggis, which was a KY-TuKY -themed rendition of the Muumit-theme song, and despite the little starting trouble we had we managed to pull it off. The toasts continued their performance throughout the party, there were countless more or less familiar songs and we little KY-walruses tried our best to keep up with the rest.
After the sitsiparty the sporty party people migrated to The Monkey and continued to have a blast there. Most of our group headed back to Helsinki during the same night, but not all of us made it out of Turku. We would like to thank NESU-TuKY for the awesome party they organized for all of us, and we welcome you to join us at the next one we come up with!
Regards,
the KY crew
