Expectations for the the year
The new board for NESU Finland was selected a bit over a month ago and the new term officially began September 1st . However before going in too deep or introducing the new board in a more formal way, we wanted to individually think about our expectations for the term. After the year we will all come back to the answers, reflect, and tell what the reality of it all was.

What are you expecting from the upcoming year?
Nea Reunanen, Country Representative & Chair of the Board
All sorts of things! Mostly I’m hoping that together with the board and local NESUs we can improve NESU activities and of course get to know as many knew nesuits as possible. Something important to me would be to develop further the sense of community and making this incredible community more approachable. I am looking forward to our own events and all the amazing memories from them, as well as representing at events all over Finland (and the Nordics). I hope we will be able to come up with a few new event concepts and above all have fun during the year.
I am also looking forward to all the challenges that might arise during the year and overcoming them with our lovely group. I want to support my own board as well as all other NESU actives and earn the trust that has already been given to me in this position. After our term I would like to be able to gladly leave the reins to those who will follow us and know that I have done my best for this community. Let’s be active, keep busy and enjoy every second!
Rasmus Juuti, Vice Chair of the Board
I am excited to actively spread the gospel of NESU in all kinds of events around Finland! Was it 30 or 35 sitz parties that I promised to attend at kesämöksä :D.
In my role of vice president, I’d like to launch some alumni activities and further the role of NESU in the lives of our beloved alumnis. That might prove to be difficult, though, as alumnis probably and hopefully have a lot more on their calendar than us current students.
Niklas Rampp, Treasurer
From the upcoming term, I look forward above all to new projects that we can brainstorm and develop together. As the treasurer, I want to ensure that a stable and transparent financial foundation is created for these projects so that ideas can be implemented sustainably and their continuity secured. I also look forward to developing my own skills in budgeting and financial monitoring, as well as supporting the board in financial matters. It is exciting to see how small ideas grow into concrete events and projects that strengthen the NESU spirit across Finland.
Reeta Ervasti, Head of Communications
In my own role and as a part of the board, I am looking forward to even further improving NESU as a community and every other way as well. I hope that I get to meet and recruit many new amazing nesuits and spread the gospel and love of NESU in Finland and hopefully the Nordics as well. I am also looking forward to everything our board will do together from attending to organizing and planning events and just spending time as a group of friends. I expect that we will make meaningful memories and connections, develop, and have loads of fun this year <3
As the Head of Communications, I am looking forward to combining my skills and ambition with my creative side. My goal is to grow NESU Finland’s presence in the communication channels by posting high quality and current content regularly. I have plenty of ideas and could talk about this all day, but I guess those are for me to know and you to find out… 😉
Totte Nousiainen, Corporate Relations
What I’m most looking forward to is coming up with our own event concepts. It’s also nice to be able to develop the activities further and think about new partners for us. I already have ideas for merch brewing, and I’m looking forward to their launch. Of course, touring different NESU events is also on the agenda (as if we wouldn’t do that anyway). I’m eagerly waiting to see what kind of shenanigans we come up with.
Nella Nurminen, Webmaster
This year will surely be full of fun moments with the Finski board and other nesuits. I look forward to hanging out a lot with our board, getting to know each other better and creating memories. Hopefully we’ll ulkkaroida together and see each other at the conferences or elsewhere. Also, I can’t wait to represent NESU Finland at every NESU event I’ll go to this year!
I’m expecting to learn a lot about building a website. I currently have many ideas for nesu.net but not yet the know-how. I would love to leave my mark on nesu.net by doing some necessary but also some fun changes!
Miro Myrttinen, Project Manager
My definite highlights to look for will be the Lappeenranta autumn Conference, where there´s been a promise of “raikuli”-level of tomfoolery! Of my own offering as project manager, I am looking to “rundi”, where we get to provide fun and whacky program for you guys. Not to forget meeting the new NESU-boards as they are elected. Last but certainly not least I am so excited to meet all you people, both old and new all-around Finland!
