At the annual meeting of NESU Finland, held at the NESU summer cottage in Turku on August 10th, the next board of NESU Finland will be elected along with the new country representative. The new board’s term will last from the beginning of September 2013 until the end of August 2014.

At the annual meeting any members of NESU Finland can come forward and apply for the position of country representative and chairman of the board or a member of the board. It is not mandatory to sign for running for either country representative or a member of the board before the annual meeting. However, if you feel you are interested in applying, we do encourage you to show it! If there are more applicants than open positions a voting will be held at the meeting.

You can state your interest in applying by posting a brief introduction of yourself (no longer than a regular status update) on the facebook page of NESU Finland: This way other members of NESU Finland have the chance to get to know you a little bit before the meeting. Alternatively, you can send an email to and let the current board of NESU Finland know about your interest in applying. If you are unable to attend the annual meeting in Turku, you can still apply by sending in an application letter, which will be read aloud at the meeting.

Note, that the annual meeting is open to all members of NESU Finland, so even if you won’t be attending the whole cottage weekend, you can still take part in the meeting. The place and time of the meeting will be announced later.

For the next 7 days, the 7 members of the current board of NESU Finland will be writing blogposts about their positions and the tasks they have been responsible for during the past year. So if you are interested in hearing more about being on the board of NESU Finland, stay tuned!
