2021 is here and so are the new NESU-Heroes (= boards)! Welcome to the Vennebok series (originating from the Book of Friends series), which will create a perfect guide for each organization’s new faces and preferences, which you can use as an inspiration for new quarantine activities or simply to learn the new names before we get to physically celebrate NESU-life again.

We will soon spill the tea from all the NESU-organizations but now, let’s enjoy what the first four have revealed about themselves!

Ready, set, spill the tea!

NESU-KY

Who are you: The Board of NESU-KY ‘21: Otso, Emma, Alex, Lasse, Antti, Ilinca, Ada, Anni, Rose, and Eero (from top left to bottom right).

How old are you: NESU-KY was founded in 1987 so our 34th birthday is this year.

What is your favourite hobby: Under normal circumstances, hosting sits-parties and other events would be our main pastime activity. As of right now, most of our time is spent in remote meetings! Other hobbies include washing our hands, staying safe, and enjoying an occasional beer or two (or ten).

Favourite color: Besides dollar green, we’ve been obsessed with leopard print lately. That counts as a color, right?

Favorite dish on the Sitz-menu: Mudcake!

What do you want to be when you grow up: Hella big! 😉 We hope to continue to welcome tens of new Nesuits into our family for years to come while still maintaining a tight-knit community.

What are you looking forward to: The pandemic being over. Regardless of the state of our world right now, we still have tons of events planned for this year that we hope we’ll actually get to host. Fingers crossed!

Your trick to surviving through the exceptional times? Leaning on each other! Despite the pandemic, we’ve still had weekly Zoom meetings and our first topic of discussion is always how each of us is doing. Remember to check up on your loved ones and ask for help when you need it. Oh, and some Nesufiilis goes a long way!

Greetings to the owner of this book: A huge virtual hug to you! Hope to see you as soon as it’s safe. Stay healthy!
