Hello from Pori!

Just like every NESU-organization, NESU-Porky has also gotten its new board for 2020. The roles in the board stayed pretty much the same as previous year, but some changes were made in a couple of role’s job descriptions. NESU-Porky’s board of 2020 consists of six devoted and energetic members. Five of the board members are second-year students and one is a fresman.

The start of the new year was pretty hectic for NESU-Porky. Only after a couple of weeks we got to organize the NESU-Dagen in Pori. The three-day event was held in mid-January and it was arranged in cooperation between the old and the new NESU-Porky board. The weekend was amazing and full of new acquaintances, but also contained a lot of hard work. Nonetheless, we are very grateful for having been able to invite all the old and new NESU-actives to out beloved Pori and happy that the event was successful.

After the NESU-Dagen we deservedly took a couple of weeks to relax before starting to plan our first sitz-party. In the beginning of February, we started making arrangements for the event, and decided the theme that was “Eläks sääki viäl”. The theme was all about celebrating old age with a twist of Pori dialect.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus situation made it impossible for us to organize the event and sadly, we had to cancel it, for now at least. We hope that the situation will soon be over, and we could be able to organize something amazing in the future! But at the moment the health of all of us is the most important thing.

However, NESU-Porky continues to grow and get bigger and bigger each year! We hope to be able to see all of you again soon!

Tace care,

NESU-Porky
