The school year is starting to be over and also is the spring. After few months not be able to organize any events it was amazing to organize three sitzparties in the course of spring. Two of the sitzs were held with co-operation with an another party. Our first sitzs were held together with a NESU-organization; NESU-HEBS. This was a great opportunity to also get to know the other NESU members and also learn how we work together as a group since it was our first sitz.
Our second sitz came right after four days from the first one so were on a roll. This time the sitzs were held together with Merkantila Klubben from Åbo Akademi. These sitzs were held on two language; Finnish and Swedish, and showed us different traditions can be had during the sets. The spirit was high since after all the TuKY <3 MK -sitz are a long-waited tradition in Turku.
The biggest sitz during this spring was the Vappu-sitz. There were a lot of preparation since the amount of participants was bigger and also this was our first time organizing totally on our own. The whole night was a success as in the end our own Speksi-band close night with style and an amazing feeling. It showed that this was the first Vappu and Vappu-sitz in couple of years as the people really enjoy their selves.
Just this spring has been a superb to all of us in NESU-TuKY and we have really got to known each other and create some fun memories. In the summer we are going to spend together a cottage weekend but also organize a Ruisrock-themed sitzparty as the legendary festivals is coming back after three years and it is a must in Turku. So we are looking for the summer and the new sitzs that are going to held in the Autumn.
