Greetings from Mikkeli!
This year has got off to a flying start. The year started with a change of power, followed by a big group of us going to meet other NESU boards in Jyväskylä for NESU Dagens. Our new board has eagerly started planning for the coming year, as well as actively trying to participate in NESU events in other cities, absence policy permitting. We organised our first sits at the end of February, and it was great to see several different coloured overalls in Mikkeli. The evening was a memorable one, with participants enjoying themselves to the full. It’s always wild in Mikkeli but with the “sledding to your dm’s” theme and lots of great proggis, this sits party was one of the greatest. The plan is to keep up the good momentum, so be sure to visit Mikkeli this year!
At the moment, the whole board is busy organising the next couple of sits. In April, the second year students and their completed thesis will be celebrated with a Mafia-themed thesis sits among the student community. Unfortunately, this event is only for second year students of Aalto Mikkeli, but don’t worry, because in May we will have another sits party for everyone again, and hopefully we will see as many of you as possible on the spot. The board’s goal this year is to organise at least as many sits as the previous board, and to activate our own board and other Mikkeli students to attend other NESU events everywhere. NESU is the best time for people, and together with the NESU-Probba board 2023 we want to share this good spirit and memorable sits celebrations with everyone who wants to participate.
We can’t wait to see what the year will bring us – hopefully lots of sits parties.
